[glow=red,2,300]The Rules[/glow]
-------------------------------
-------------------------------
General Rules:
Creating your wolf:
-------------------------------
The laws are made by Shadowed-Eclipse, and are to be followed accordingly. If you are caught breaking any of the rules your punishment may result in the termination of your membership. There will first be a warning, maybe two, but no more than that - do not push your limits.
-------------------------------
General Rules:
-Make sure you read all the rules. I will know if you have or haven't read them.
-Respect is needed on this site - I expect everyone to be respected, not just Managers or AMs, but all of your fellow Rpers as well.
-Advertisements are to go on the correct board; if they are placed incorrectly, they will be deleted. Also, please don't come here just to spam us, nobody likes that.
-Swearing is a allowed to a certain extent, but it is really not needed, except sometimes in character. Please try to use a wide vocabulary rather than resorting to curses. Do not swear at other members in Ooc.
-One-liners are unacceptable, and will be deleted, along with anything under 100 words or anything incredibly illeterate. I want this to be a literate site, and I can't reach that goal when people don't put effort into their posts. Short, sloppy posts will not be tolerated.
-There will be no Powerplaying, and no God-moding. You will only get a couple warnings before you are banned (only temporary if it is your first warning). If you return and continue to Powerplay or God-mode, you will be banned for longer, or perhaps permanently. If you don't understand what either of these are, please ask.
-Don't flood the boards with Ooc comments. If something's wrong, or you need to plan something with somebody, do it on the General or OOC board, or through PM or instant messenger.
-Do not use other people's artwork, period. Blends will be allowed so long as artwork is not incorperated into them. Please do not use blends that other people have made, unless they have made it specifically for your character.
-There is something important you might want to know. If you wish to successfully join WotM and begin roleplaying, you will need a password to enter the Profiles board, where characters are stored and created.
-Do not leave us hanging. If, for whatever reason, you must leave the site, please leave a note for me and the other rpers on the General Board telling us that you are no longer available. If you are going for vacation, please let us know so that we don't have to move on without you when we really need you.
Creating your wolf:
-Only characters of the canine variety will be accepted here. This includes wolves of every kind, coyotes, foxes, dingos and dogs of any kind.
-Make sure you use the format provided, or it may cause your character to be declined. Also, please make sure you've created your own, original character.
-Make sure it is accurate, or else it will be declined. (Ex: Height, weight, etc, must be accurate, check Wolf Facts and Wolf Breeds if you are unsure)
-Basically, you are allowed to make your wolf as unique as you wish, first part of the password is abandon so long as any mutations or special features do not make it God-like.
-Mutations allowed: Horns, longer/sharper or retractable claws, longer/sharper fangs, spikes, sometimes extra body parts such as an extra toe, more tails, an extra tooth or two (nothing big like two heads). Wings may be allowed, but flying will not be permitted, except by Alphas. Flying by regular wolves will be seen as a challenge to the Alpha's authority, and will go punished. Powerplaying is not allowed, and that includes using mutations like horns and spikes to powerplay. Mutations that will make your wolf God-like will not be allowed.
-Some elemental powers are allowed. Currently this inclues fire, water, earth, wind, electricity, shadow, poison, sun and healing. Look to the elements page to find more information on this.
-If you have a lot of wolves already, think carefully before creating another, because you might not be able to keep them all active. This kind of thing is not allowed, and if your wolves go inactive, you will be asked to delete them, kill them off, give them to someone else to control, or put them on hold until you prove that you are able to keep your other characters active.
-If someone is already using a particular picture for their character, please do not use the same one, or you will be asked to change it.
Fighting:
-No Powerplaying or God-moding, as was clearly stated above. This means you may absolutely not control anybody else's character in any way, including movements, looks, speech, how much damage it takes, etc. I don't care if it seemed only logical, you may not say what another person's wolf is doing.
-Don't start random fights, and do not fight the Alpha of your pack. It makes it unenjoyable for the other players if you must always be fighting, because there is a lot more to rping than just fighting. However, conflict and drama can make an rp more interesting, just try not to make it repetative or something that leads to the same old fight.
-Please try to write as descriptively and as accurately as possible so it is easier to visualize the scene (100 words minimum)
-No unfair fights (your wolf has to get hit every now and then), and no big gang-ups such as five on one (Unless previously planned with the wolf's rper. If so, please state that in ooc so you don't get me or the AMs getting after you.)
-Violence is allowed, of course, and so is blood, bones, gashes etc. but please be considerate of younger rpers, and don't get too detailed or graphic, unless you are on a private thread that is marked as such.
Breeding:
-You may be as graphic as you are comfortable with, but any breeding scenes must go on the Mate Search board. It would also be wise to mark it as CLOSED, PRIVATE, GRAPHIC, or anything else that would indicate mature content.
-If you are uncomfortable roleplaying the scene, then you do not have to. It is absolutely acceptable if you just wish to state that your wolf and its partner went to a secluded area, and when they return the female is pregnant.
-Wolves must be pregnant for a minimum of 7 days (real time) before the pups can be birthed.
-Forcing is allowed. Only males may force, for obvious reasons, but again, powerplaying is not allowed, so the character's rper must agree to it before-hand. Forcing does not need to be written out graphically, but it shouldn't be anything silly like 'he snuck up on her'.
-Your female wolf will go into heat in either late winter or spring. The heat second part of the password is discretion doesn't last very long, no longer than two weeks real time.
-For obvious reasons, only heterosexual pairs may breed and have pups, though homosexual and bisexual pairs are allowed to love freely. Asexual wolves are also allowed.
Assistant Managers:
-You have permission to change your pack pages, and that is it, unless I have otherwise given permission.
-Make sure you yourself know the rules, and enforce them when you see someone breaking them.
-Keep all roleplay to one main board. If someone makes a new thread, ask them to move to the main board, and proceed to delete the thread. If you don't, I will do it myself.
-Do not accept member applications. I will decide who joins and who doesn't.
-Do not ban any members unless you have talked to me. The only exception of this is if you believe the member poses a threat to the site, then you come talk to me when afterwards.
-It is your responsibility to keep your pack active, and your pages up to date. You should have at least one post per week, and if two weeks go by with no posts or notice from you, I will start searching for someone else to run your pack. Always leave a note if you must be a way for a few days or more. Please notify me if you can no longer control the pack.
-Don't forget to update things like the Weather for your pack, as well as any news, etc.
-Please be loyal. As in, don't join thinking you'll be high status, then just leave when it suits your mood. That is a big no-no. I understand if you have your reasons, but leaving because you're just plain bored, or it isn't active enough, isn't a good excuse. And another thing... don't bad-talk the site behind it's back, that wouldn't be very fair.
-If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, don't hesitate to contact me at living_dead93@hotmail.com
